Automotive and HVAC Systems

  1. Reclaim refrigerant from lines in the system.
  2. Pressurize the coil or line with the non-flammable green label 5/95 H2/N2 Mix
  3. Slowly move the tip of the DXH-240 Hydrogen Leak Detector around all suspected joints.
  4. Make sure to move no faster than 1 inch per second with the tip no more than 1/4″ away,
  5. Start with most sensitive setting for the 5/95 H2/N2 mix.
  6. Once leaking joint is located, consider setting the DXH-240 to a less sensitive mode.
  7. Pinpoint the exact leak location for repair.
  8. Repair the leak and re-test.
