Underground Pipe Hydrogen Leak Detector-DXH-240-U

🌐 H2Leak Hydrogen Tracer Gas Leak Detector

The Ultimate Underground Water Pipe Leak Detector

Introducing the H2Leak Premier & Low Cost Solution to Locating Hard to Find Leaks

The H2Leak Hydrogen Tracer Gas Sniffer Leak Detector is designed for professional leak detection in underground water lines, irrigation systems, industrial piping, fuel lines and residential plumbing. Applications also include piping associated with swimming pools and water supply piping to swimming pools.Β
Using a non-combustible safe 5% hydrogen / 95% nitrogen tracer gas, H2Leak delivers industry-leading sensitivity and leak locating precision.

πŸ”§ Key Features

  • βœ” Ultra-sensitive hydrogen detection (ppm level)

  • βœ” Safe non-flammable Hβ‚‚/Nβ‚‚ tracer gas (5%H2/95%N2)

  • βœ” Perfect for underground leaks where acoustic tools fail

  • βœ” Or verify the location as a 2nd check before excavation

  • βœ” Fast response time (<1 sec)

  • βœ” Bright digital LCD display

  • βœ” Rugged, field-ready construction

  • βœ” Field replaceable H2 sensor and flexible probe

πŸ” How H2Leak DXH240-U Works To Locate Leaks

  1. Pressurize the pipe with hydrogen/nitrogen mix to a safe level not to damage piping. Pressure does have an effect on leak rate.

  2. The 5/95 gas escapes the leak & moves straight up through dirt, gravel, asphalt and even concrete for detection at ground level

  3. Rate tracer gas moves to the surface depends mostly on depth. Shorter time for shallow pipe and even overnight for deeper piping.

  4. The H2Leak operator slowly walks the pipe length cone near the ground until a signal is detected by sound or display.

  5. 3 levels of sensitivity allow for the broad search then for pinpointing the sensitivity Β level can be reduced to pinpoint.
  6. For concrete slabs we recommend small pilot holes be drilled through the concrete to verify exact location before expensive excavation.

This makes H2Leak one of the most effective underground water pipe leak detector systems available. Companies using effective hydrogen tracer gas leak detection can locate leaks other competitors cannot with traditional ultrasonic leak detection. Using ultrasonic leak detection in conjunction with H2 tracer gas leak detection has yielded one customer a 92% success rate in location and verification of the leak location.
