🔍 How H2Leak Hydro-Lok Works To Locate Leaks

  1. Pressurize the pipe with hydrogen/nitrogen mix to a safe level not to damage piping. Pressure does have an effect on leak rate as more gas leaks out as pressure increases.

  2. The 5/95 gas escapes the pipe or water line  & moves  up through dirt, gravel, asphalt and even concrete for detection at ground level.

  3. The rate tracer gas moves to the surface depends mostly on depth. Shorter time for shallow pipe and even overnight for deeper piping.

  4. The H2Leak operator slowly walks the pipe length cone near the ground until a signal is detected by sound or display.

  5. A zero function reacts to a large leak lessening the detection signal to help pinpoint the leak location.
  6. For concrete slabs, we recommend small pilot holes be drilled through the concrete to verify exact location before expensive excavation.
